Our Portfolio
SEHCL holds carried working interests across 12 exploration blocks in Sindh, directly contributing to national energy security and provincial benefit.
Sindh continues to play a pivotal role in Pakistan's oil and gas sector, contributing approximately 60% of the country's total natural gas production and around 40% of crude oil production. In this strategic landscape, Sindh Energy Holding Company Limited (SEHCL) has established a significant footprint through participation in 12 exploration blocks in Sindh as a Joint Venture partner with a 2.5% working interest, thereby contributing directly to national energy security while safeguarding provincial interests.
The company has already achieved three commercial discoveries currently under production and is pursuing an aggressive exploration and drilling program, with 7 wells planned during FY 2025–26 and 13 wells during FY 2026–27.
Notably, SEHCL has, for the first time, established a sustainable revenue stream, generating Rs. 211 million during FY 2024–25, with expected revenues of Rs. 300 million in FY 2025–26 and approximately Rs. 300 million annually over the subsequent two years.
Furthermore, the company is targeting a transformational growth opportunity through the acquisition of an exploration block in Sindh under the Petroleum Policy 2012, with the potential to generate estimated revenues of approximately Rs. 8 billion per year over a period of 15 years.
This expansion of SEHCL's exploration portfolio is expected to strengthen energy self-reliance, reduce dependence on imported energy, increase provincial revenues, and contribute significantly towards the socio-economic development of Sindh.
